  • Jamie Lee Curtis just posted a throwback photo to Instagram and fans are losing it.

  • In the picture, the actress shows off her toned figure in a form-fitting dress next to a “Danger Curves Ahead” sign.

  • Curtis reveals “the story behind” the iconic snap.

Jamie Lee Curtis loves to share a good throwback photo—whether it’s a zebra swimsuit photo or a still from the Perfect movie for a “Memory Monday” pic—the 64-year-old actress loves to give fans a glimpse into her past. Most recently, the Everything Everywhere All at Once star opted for a “Freaky Friday” or “#fbf” throwback, posing in a form-fitting dress next to a “danger, curves ahead” sign, and fans are obsessed.

In the nostalgic picture, a young Curtis stands alongside a winding road with her thumb out as if she’s hitchhiking. She wears a stunning form-fitted silver dress complete with a low back and spaghetti straps, paired with sparkly silver jewelry. Next to Curtis is a road sign that reads “DANGER CURVES AHEAD,” no doubt a pun on Curtis’ amazing figure.

“Freaky Friday I’d say!” Curtis captioned the post, before sharing “the STORY behind this photograph,” saying “this shoot was my idea.” She noted that she requested the iconic road sign be custom-made with the help of J. Michael Riva, her “then beautiful and creative fiancé at the time,” while she rented the gown from a costume shop before heading to the location.

Curtis also explained in the caption that the shot was taken during a photoshoot with Douglas Kirkland, whose widow posted “some lovely old pictures” of Curtis “on the gram” this morning. “Douglas was a great artist and we miss his and Michael’s work and their loving presence in this world! #fbf,” Curtis wrote.

Needless to say, fans ran to the comments after Curtis posted the gorgeous snap. “😍 Love this pic!” wrote fellow actress Lindsey Lohan while one fan noted, “The story makes the pic even better!” Another commenter chimed in “this picture is gorgeous! 🔥”

One thing is certain: this post definitely takes the cake as one of Curtis’ best throwback photos of all time—right up there with her naked spooky bathtub soak that paid homage to Halloween, the 70’s roller rink “don’t smoke” throwback, and her spicy sheer dress bathtub pic, in which fans noted how similar she looked to her late mother, Janet Leigh.

Curtis is about more than just the pics, though. The actress used one of her most recent throwback snaps to discuss sexuality and aging while showcasing a previous AARP magazine cover where she posed topless at 50.

“A fun #fbf when I was the @aarp Cover Girl and people lost their MINDS that I was TOPLESS!” Curtis captioned the Instagram post. “A perfect statement about how weird people are about older people having any sexuality whatsoever.”

I have not one second of anxiety about turning 50,” Curtis told AARP for the issue. “I want to be older. I actually think there’s an incredible amount of self-knowledge that comes with getting older. I feel way better now than I did when I was 20. I’m stronger, I’m smarter in every way, I’m so much less crazy than I was then.”

We can always count on Curtis for a great throwback pic and some wonderful words of wisdom. Stay tuned for the actress’ next iconic post.
