James Middleton is pulling out all the stops to make sure his pack of doggies stays "safe and cool" in the summer heat. In his new video on Instagram, James revealed how he gives his dog Mabel a makeshift outdoor bath: filling a plastic storage container with water.

"Keeping cool," he wrote in the caption. "It’s so important to keep your dogs safe and cool during hot weather! Here’s how Mabel likes to cool down! (And remember never leave dogs alone in a hot [car] ...ever)."

James offered a few more tips in the second slide of his post, suggesting pet owners keep their dogs in the shade, give them damp towels to lie on, turn on the sprinkler, and putting cold water in a hot water bottle.

Kate Middleton's brother has become something of an authority on dog parenting since he made his Instagram public in early 2019. He posts regularly about his "pack" of six canines, and in recent months, has become an ambassador for Pets As Therapy (he and his dog Ella regularly volunteer with the program), and launched a brand of dog food named after Ella (Ella & Co claims to offer "the most convenient, nutritionally-rich, ethical, and delicious freeze-dried raw dog food available in the UK)."

Indeed, thanks to his dogs, it seems that he and his fiancée Alizee Thevenet have managed to make the most of the new, socially-distanced normal. The couple even raised a litter of puppies born in May—check out the adorable pups in the video below.
