James Gunn Teases That 'Guardians 3' Will Feature a Character's Death
It may not be for a while, but Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 is definitely happening under the masterful hand of writer and director James Gunn.
He's got Warner Bros and DC's The Suicide Squad to work on first, so there's not much he can reveal at the moment—but he did drop one Earth-shattering fact on his Instagram Stories over the weekend.
Responding to a fan asking if someone will die in the movie, Gunn replied: "I can't remember ANY comic book film where someone didn't die!"
It's not been confirmed yet, but we think that we can expect Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 to also include: a villain, fighting, licensed music, acting, special effects and words that scroll up the screen at the end to tell you everyone who has worked on the film (sometimes referred to by experts as "credits").
Filming is currently taking place for The Suicide Squad, and photos from the set have appeared online that seemingly confirms which new cast members are playing which characters.
The Suicide Squad is released in cinemas on August 6, 2021.
