James Charles said he got death threats for filming a video with JoJo Siwa.
He gave her a glam makeover while she gave him her signature rainbow and glitter style.
Apparently fans were upset because they thought he was going to pick a different celebrity to film a YouTube video with.
Okay, you're totally forgiven if you only recently realized that the glamorous gal smiling alongside James Charles in that viral picture is actually glitter and rainbow icon JoJo Siwa. Seriously, if you haven't seen the picture yet, JoJo looks completely unrecognizable and like a full-on beauty vlogger. JoJo also gave James a makeover and basically turned him into a Swianator, but it seems his fans aren't happy about his recent YouTube collaboration.
As some fans slowly picked their jaws up off the floor after seeing both of their remarkable transformations, others decided it would be okay to send James death threats for welcoming JoJo on his channel. (Because some people still can't get it through their heads, here's a quick reminder: Sending death threats to someone—no matter the reason—is completely unacceptable.)

Not long after he posted the video, James tweeted:
"I said today’s collab was with someone I I waited two years to work with & I was so excited for and now I’m getting death threats because stan twitter assumed it would be their fav and it wasn’t there are a TON of huge artists I’d love to film with one day, be patient!"
He went on to criticize how unreasonable stan Twitter can be sometimes and dropped some logic, saying that if he had collaborated with one of their favorites, "today would've been full of 'stay away from her' tweets anyway."
Points were made! James and JoJo should absolutely be able to film a video for their fans without other fandoms attacking them. James tweeted about the death threats on the 21st, so hopefully they've stopped by now.
