Jake Paul Said His Brother Logan Paul Is “Truly Sorry” for His Controversial Video

But the Internet isn't buying it.

In a new video posted to his YouTube, Jake Paul discussed the controversial video his brother Logan posted earlier this month. Jake's video comes shortly after his father, Greg, made a video in which he promised Logan would return to vlogging shortly.

Jake shared his video on Monday, January 22, and in the 13-minute clip he addressed Logan's decision to post a YouTube video that showed the body of someone who reportedly died by suicide, The Hollywood Reporter noted. Although Logan has since apologized for the video and announced his plans to take a break, he has remained quiet on the issue, only recently agreeing with a TMZ cameraman that "everyone deserves second chances."

In Jake's video, he explained that he purposefully waited to make a statement regarding his brother. "I wanted to let the situation have some time to breathe," Jake said. "It didn't feel right to comment on it right away. But as his brother and as someone who knows Logan the best, I do feel it's necessary to say something about it."

He goes on to explain his feelings on the matter, saying, "I think what Logan did was very, very, very, very wrong, and he made a huge mistake. And not only is he paying for it, but he is learning from it. I think that in no way, shape, or form is suicide a joke or should be made fun of.” Despite noting that what Logan did was wrong, Jake said his brother "did not mean to offend or hurt anybody or create such a big frustration. And he is honestly, truly, truly sorry." He went on to confirm that Logan will return to vlogging, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

However, many on Twitter have expressed their anger with Jake's response. Users have pointed out that Logan chose to post the video and that the remainder of his vlogs from Japan were also disrespectful. One fan tweeted: "Only when it started to affect his business did he show remorse." Others have criticized Jake for taking nearly a month to respond.

Jake has yet to address the backlash, and Logan has not yet announced when he will officially return to vlogging.
