Jaguars WR Marqise Lee carted off field after rough hit to knee in preseason game against Falcons
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee was carted off the field Saturday afternoon in their preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons after taking a brutal hit to his knee.
Lee was injured after he caught a 20-yard pass and was hit low by Falcons safety Damontae Kazee, who made seemingly direct contact with Lee’s knee. Kazee was flagged 15 yards for lowering his helmet to make contact.
Lee was then carted off the field and did not return.

Lee, who is in his fifth season in the NFL, had 56 receptions for 702 yards and three touchdowns last season for the Jaguars.
Jaguars coach Doug Marrone didn’t provide an update after the game, other than that he was waiting for an update from doctors himself.
“It looked bad,” Marrone said, via the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. “I’m waiting for the doc to tell me so I can tell you guys. … But it looked bad.”
