Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix knows how to take (or fake) one for the team. When Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards didn't want anyone to suspect their pregnancies, she knew just what to do.

Video Transcript

PERRIE EDWARDS: And I think, me and Alex have had it. It's like our little secret. When I posted about it, I literally cried. Because I was like, it's out there, and it's becoming real.

TETRIS KELLY: Little Mix is a shining example of a beautiful female friendship. When members Leigh-Anne and Perrie didn't want anyone to suspect their pregnancies, Jade knew just how to take one for the team. They spoke about it in the Q&A by Apple Music on TikTok.

PERRIE EDWARDS: What cracked me up, though, being in rehearsals, were confetti. And obviously, me and Leigh-Anne were like pregnant at the time. And we were so out of breath and like, oof. But we didn't want anybody to know. So like choreographers and things. We didn't want anyone in the room to know. So Jade was going, oh! I'm not that.

PERRIE EDWARDS: And she was like--

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

PERRIE EDWARDS: Leigh-Anne was going, my back hurts. And Jade was going, oh, my back, I know. My back's gone.

TETRIS KELLY: You killed it, ladies. But one of my favorite stories is how the two girls found out they were both pregnant after a call with the manager.

PERRIE EDWARDS: And then she went, please, can I add somebody to the call. And I was like, no I'm really nervous. It's very early. I don't want to tell anybody. She was, like, do you trust me. I said, of course, with my life. Go on, then. Add someone. So she added someone to the call. And then I just hear this voice come out and she goes, Perrie? You tell. And then we just cried our eyes out. Like, we couldn't believe it.

TETRIS KELLY: I absolutely can't. Head over the Billboard.com to get more of the interview. Running it down for you always, I'm Tetris Kelly for Billboard News.
