The 220-seat full-service restaurant along with Zest — its adjacent grab-and-go component — is inside the new Mayo Atrium at the heart of the medical center campus at 4500 San Pablo Road S. in the city's growing Southside area.

The dinner menu hasn't been finalized. However, the Medures shared that the upscale-casual restaurant "focuses on fresh seafood with an Asian and Mediterranean flair and offers ample choices for vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free diners."

The 7,000-square-foot restaurant, which is open to the public, is intended to serve the community as well as Mayo patients, their families, medical center staff and visitors.

"We wanted to offer our patients and visitors an exceptional dining venue that embodies the culinary excellence that the award-winning Medure brothers are known for throughout the region," Kent Thielen, a physician and chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic in Florida, said in an email to the Times-Union.

"As a premier destination medical center, we are excited to now have the M Brothers restaurant enhancing the patient experience for those who travel to our campus for care," Thielen said.

Topping the lunch menu are entree selections ($12-19) such as a Poke Bowl, Spicy Crab Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Salmon, Shrimp & Grits and more. Also on the menu are a variety of sandwiches ($12-18), including Lobster Roll, Blackened Shrimp Po’Boy, MB Burger, French Dip, North of Miami Cuban and Ham Melt, and salads ($10-18), including Nicoise, Caesar Wedge, Beet and Grilled Vegetable.

For now, lunch is being served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Monday, Jan. 24, the restaurant hours will expand to 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday with the addition of dinner service. The restaurant will be closed on Sundays, Kevin T. Punsky, Mayo Clinic communications manager, told the Times-Union.

Punsky said the bar will be open at all times when the restaurant is open. Zest, which launched in November, is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, he said.

At this time, there are no plans to add breakfast or brunch.

Although the dinner menu is still being developed, the Medure brothers hinted at one notable entree from the menu on Facebook: "28 days ago we placed these beautiful Prime Ribeyes into our dry-ager," they wrote, sharing a photo of the steaks. The post explained and extolled the dry-aging process, which tenderizes and flavors the beef.

"Reservations are now open for our first dinner service on January 24. Reserve your table now and enjoy one of our signature dry-aged Ribeyes," the post continued.

Reservations can be made via OpenTable.
