Ivanka Trump pays tribute to Japanese culture in $1,995 floral frock

Ivanka Trump paid homage to the Japanese culture for a dinner with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The first daughter wore a custom-made $1,995 dress created by Italian designer Johanna Ortiz that featured pink accents, a floral pattern and black bow belt that tied around her waist. Ivanka ditched her usual slick-straight blonde tresses for a wavy style, perhaps due to the humid weather in Japan.

The mother of three polished off her below-the-knee number with a pair of black stilettos and minimal jewelry.

Ivanka posted a bunch of photos from the dinner, revealing on her Instagram account that the prime minister actually surprised her with a floral bouquet for her birthday on October 30.

"An unforgettable last night in Tokyo!" she captioned the post. "Thank you Prime Minister Abe for the warm hospitality and the belated birthday wishes."

Earlier in the day, the White House adviser gave a speech on female entrepreneurship and women's role in the economy at the World Assembly for Women 2017. She emphasized that the world must increase women and minority participation in STEM -- science, technology, engineering and math -- fields.

"Female and minority participation in STEM fields is moving in the wrong direction," she said. "We must create equal participation in these traditionally male-dominated sectors of our economy."

Of course, Ivanka was impeccably dressed for the speech, wearing a peach-colored suit with pearl embellished buttons and a pair of black pumps with a low heel.

The first daughter returned to the United States on Friday, the same day that President Trump and first lady Melania Trump departed Washington D.C. for a nearly two week-long tour of Asia.
