Israel Uses Combat Helicopters in Jenin Clashes

The Israel Defense Forces said military “helicopters opened fire in order to assist in the extraction of our forces” after a military vehicle was damaged by an explosive device during an arrest operation in Jenin on June 19.

At least five Palestinians, including a 15-year-old boy, were killed in the clashes, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported. Many more were injured, the ministry said.

The Israel Defense Forces said two soldiers and five members of the Border Police were injured.
