With names like Cara Delevingne, Lexi Boling, Binx Walton, and Rita Ora attached to DKNY, one would expect the line to offer the most young and fresh items out there. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, and it seems the brand’s parent company, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is looking for a new creative director.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, Prabal Gurung, Andrea Lieberman, the designer of A.L.C., and Public School partners Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow are all being considered for the position. The pair said they weren’t considering the role “at this moment,” while the others declined to comment. Jane Chung, DKNY’s executive vice president of design, currently designs the collection with Donna Karan’s overarching direction.
Rumors have circled for a while that Karan, who created the company 26 years ago, was leaving the company but she responded, "Can you imagine me stepping down?“ Adding, "I’m too energized.”
