Irina Shayk Is Angelic in a Silky White Gown and Ballet Flats at the Met Gala
Irina Shayk was a vision in white on the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps.
The supermodel arrived at the 2023 Met Gala tonight in a silky white dress with big rosettes at the top and twisted straps at the shoulders. It also featured a twisted detail on one side of the waist. She paired the asymmetrical piece with matching ivory ballet flats and layered diamond chokers—including a chain necklace and a diamond tennis necklace embellished with large pear-shaped stones.
Her beauty look was equally dreamy: rosy red eyeshadow, a raspberry lip, a relaxed wavy 'do, and a clear manicure.
Shayk, one of Harper's Bazaar's May cover stars, spoke in her interview last month about what beauty means to her.
"We’re teaching our daughter that the most important thing is to be kind to people. Every time we send her to school, we’re like, 'Just remember kindness and love.' So I think that’s what true beauty is," she told Bazaar. "It’s not about putting on masks, putting on makeup, brushing your hair, putting on nice clothes. With TikTok and Instagram and social media, my daughter is growing up in a different environment than I grew up in, so sometimes it kind of scares me. But most important is teaching our daughter bigger values than being pretty on the outside."
Tonight's Met Gala theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," pays homage to the life and legacy of the late Chanel creative director.
