Ireland Baldwin shares photos of bruised face after being mugged

Ireland Baldwin has warned people to stay vigilant after she was mugged by a woman who was “high out of her mind” on drugs.

The 24-year-old, who is the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, shared photos of her bruised face on Instagram after being “decked” in the face during the incident, which took place in New York City on Friday.

Alongside the photos, Baldwin wrote: “Yesterday in the late afternoon, I was attacked by a woman who was high out of her mind on drugs and desperate for cash.

“She decked me in my face in a parking lot and took my belongings and jumped in a getaway car while her husband took off.

“All was sorted with the police and she was arrested. Luckily I had witnesses and got assisted really quickly.”

The model went on to tell her followers to be careful after she was warned by police that muggings were on the rise due to the global pandemic.

“The cops told me this is happening frequently because people are desperate for money right now due to coronavirus and people being out of work,” she wrote. “There is a lot of theft and muggings going down.

“Posting this to remind everyone to be really careful and watch your surroundings. These are really difficult times and we need to look out for one another.”

In the attached images, Ireland can be seen with a dark bruise on her right cheekbone.

The Grudge Match star’s stepmother, Hilaria Baldwin, was among those who commented on the post, writing: “I’m so glad you are safe now. We love you.”

Just one week earlier, Baldwin celebrated being six years free from eating disorders.
