Iowa State basketball recruit unleashes a block you must see to believe (Video)

Poor unsuspecting Memphis East player, meet Talen Horton-Tucker.

Horton-Tucker may only be listed at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, but he played like Dikembe Mutombo crossed with LeBron James on this chase-down block from the National Hoopfest over the weekend.

Never has a block been so violent and clean at the same time. Horton-Tucker stopped the ball in its tracks, and the Memphis East player’s momentum carried him swinging onto his back as a result. He landed so hard that he figured there must have been a foul, but the ref could only signal “all ball.”

Even more impressive than the block might have been the fact that Horton-Tucker’s teammate corralled the ball and hurled it downcourt for an easy layup, because everyone else in the gym had to be paralyzed by the overwhelming feeling of: Oh, my God, did I just see what I think I just saw?

Horton-Tucker is a four-star recruit listed as the No. 53 player on the Rivals 150 recruit rankings. He is currently committed to Iowa State and presumably just sent shivers down the spines of the Big 12.
