Imperfections are natural, and bound to crop up from time to time. They’re universal, but despite that, they can be uncomfortable to just sit with. Thankfully, the skincare industry has produced solutions for just about any sort of condition that we might contend with. Acne? Check out what this New York-based esthetician recommends for clearer skin. Milia or facial bumps? Beauty influencer Nyma Tang has some suggestions.

Milia is a common condition that results in little discolored bumps across your cheeks and nose, most commonly. It’s a natural occurrence, much like acne, meaning they come and go through no fault of your own.

If, like Tang, you deal with these small imperfections from time to time, don’t fret. They will go away. And, in the meantime, there are tactics you can use to minimize their appearance. Here’s what the beauty influencer does: blend them in with tiny faux freckles.

Drawn-on freckles have become a popular beauty trend of late. It’s understandable, as freckles add character. But, in the winter, with fading tans come fading freckles. So, the beauty industry has created products to address it—tubes that appear to be liquid liner, but really give you the sun-kissed look you’ve been missing.

Though not searching for a sun-kissed appearance, Tang used a similar method to mask her milia. “I’m having a milia breakout so I covered them with tiny freckles,” she said in a recent Instagram post. And, if you ask us, the method worked perfectly.
