The Duchess of Cambridge looked lovely in a periwinkle ensemble this morning while attending the Order of the Garter service.

Kate Middleton and Prince William reunited with various other members of the royal family at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle for the ceremony.

The duchess was a vision in her vibrant coat dress. She paired the look with a periwinkle fascinator from Juliette Botterill Millinery, royal blue pumps, and a matching clutch bag. For jewelry, she opted for a dazzling tanzanite-and-diamond necklace and earrings from G. Collins & Sons.

Kate smiled widely while waving to fans and chatting with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who looked pretty in a pink Valentino dress and ivory hat. The duchess was also seen laughing along with husband Prince William, who wore a Garter Knight ensemble made up of a navy velvet robe and black velvet hat with white plumes—as is custom for the ceremony.

Back in 2008, when she and William were still dating, Kate made her royal debut at the event. That year, William also received his Order of the Garter knighthood.

The annual Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior order of chivalry in Britain and was established by King Edward III in 1348. At this year's ceremony, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, was among those recognized for their public service. She was installed as a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter—an appointment made by Queen Elizabeth II.

Today marks the first time the Order of the Garter service has been held since 2019, as it was canceled for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
