The internet blows up over Mark Hamill and Ted Cruz Twitter feud
One would assume that on the opening weekend of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the most iconic Jedi of them all would be busy with movie promotion. Not for Mark Hamill. Instead of using his Jedi powers to save the galaxy far, far away, Hamill used the Force to troll the FCC’s decision to repeal net neutrality.
Much like the rest of the internet, Hamill chose the head of the FCC, Ajit Pai, as his punching bag.

In a crazy twist of events, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, jumped into the conversation with more than a few Star Wars references. Fitting for the film’s opening weekend.

Hamill, however, did not appreciate the references, nor Cruz’s spelling error. He responded with a few cheap shots at the senator.

Cruz was smart enough to ignore the “porn” reference — although we would have loved to see a response — and instead tried to give the actor a lesson in net neutrality.

The responses to this unlikely internet feud were mostly in favor of Hamill, but one notable person enjoyed Cruz’s rebuttal.
