American model Olivia Brower made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2019, traveling to Great Exuma, Bahamas for her feature in the magazine. She followed up the epic photoshoot with another the following year in Scrub Island, British Virgin Islands, this time alongside photographer Josie Clough.
In addition to posing for some incredible photos in her best shimmery swimwear, the model took the chance to share her reflections on the role of comparison in her life and the importance of being herself.
“When I look at myself in the mirror, I’m O.K. with it,” she confidently expressed. “I need to just not compare myself to other people and think that I’m less than because I’m not the same as another person.”
For her, that idea of non-comparison plays into the notion of success as well. Success, according to Brower, is a question of “at the end of the day, are you doing what you want to be doing? And is it making you happy? I think if you’ve got those two things going for you, you’re pretty successful.”
Her impressive reflections combined with an equally impressive series of photos made for a great sophomore photoshoot. Below are some of the great images from her trip to Scrub Island.
Now through Nov. 1, 100% of SI Swimsuit’s portion of proceeds from cover prints purchased here will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, which is helping to support the people and places of Maui affected by the recent wildfires.
