The bride wore a wedding dress by Atelier Versace. “I have always loved Versace, and so it was a very easy decision and a dream come true,” Amelia explains.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother Samuel Aitken to “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle.

“Greg’s father, Dave Mallett, officiated our wedding,” Amelia explains. “And, we had a beautiful Asili choir sing ‘Hallelujah.’ Our mothers and Greg’s sister and grandmother delivered profoundly meaningful readings that they had personally chosen.”

“It was surreal,” Amelia says. "As soon as we locked eyes, we both felt a sense of calm, and we have never felt so much love and happiness.”

The cocktail hour that followed was set against a beautiful sunset, and guests mingled on the lawns and gardens of Quoin Rock overlooking Cape Town.

Amelia’s gown was paired with an elegant five-meter-long veil made out of fine silk tulle.

After cocktails, everyone moved inside the bespoke glass marquee festooned with swathes of white roses and twinkling lights for dinner in what felt like a magical fairy garden.

The couple’s first dance was to Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash’s “Girl from the North Country,” followed by a live performance by Nathan Ambach.

The cake was rustic yet modern—made by Sweet LionHeart—and adorned with white roses and flavored with salted caramel.

Eventually, the bride changed into a beautiful beaded gown by Pronovias.

Dancing, fuelled by tunes from Starlight Agency’s DJ Nathan Ambach, Musicselecta and DJ Jo, went on until 3:00 a.m.

“We haven’t stopped floating on a cloud of happiness since then,” Amelia said.
