Injury Update: Steph Curry (lower leg) to be re-evaluated in a week

Prior to the All-Star break, Steph Curry suffered a lower leg injury against the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 4. After leaving the game against the Mavericks, the Warriors announced Curry had partial tears to ligaments in his left leg along with a contusion.
Since his injury, Curry has missed five consecutive games leading up to the All-Star break. Curry was also ruled out for the All-Star game, despite being voted as a starter for the Western Conference.
Before the break comes to an end, the Warriors provided an update regarding Curry’s injury status. The Warriors announced Curry is making “good progress” with his recovery and will be re-evaluated again in one week. Curry has been able to return to the court for individual workouts.

With Curry slated to be re-evaluated in a week, the Warriors will continue to be without their starting point guard for at least four more games. Curry will miss games against the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors are 2-3 without Curry over their last five games.
During the 2022-23 season, Curry is averaging 29.4 points on 49.5% shooting from the field and 42.7% from long distance to go along with 6.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds in 34.6 minutes per game.
The Warriors will start the final stretch of the season after the All-Star break on Thursday night in Hollywood against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
