Everyone’s experienced menu option overload, whether it’s at a chain such as The Cheesecake Factory—where the lengthy bill of fare takes you from cheesecake to chops to Chinese chicken salad—or the local Italian red sauce joint. But although restaurant menus have spent the last few decades expanding, there’s recently been a shift away from these mind-boggling lists of options, the Washington Post reports.
