I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! viewers were left disappointed when hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed that contestant Cliff Parisi couldn’t take part in yet another Bushtucker Trial.

In the most recent episode of the ITV reality show, the former EastEnders actor - who says he finds the jungle “less scary than his tax bill” - was “ruled out” of the public vote on medical grounds - which is the third time he’s been exempt since the series began.

Fans took to social media to voice their frustrations, questioning why the soap star even signed on for the programme if he can’t get involved with every aspect of it.

"I hate when campmates are excluded from trials on 'medical grounds’. If someone isn't well enough to do a trial then they shouldn't be allowed on the show. Simple as that,” one Twitter user stated candidly.

"Why is Cliff in there if he can't do any challenges?!" another added. "Every minute ruled out for medical reasons.”

"Someone wanna tell me why Cliff is in the jungle if he's always being ruled out smh,” a third echoed, while a fourth warned that there will be “a real reckoning” once the presenting duo reveal a task that the 59-year-old is actually able to do.

The quip was made in reference to the upcoming challenge, which is titled The Reckoning, and is set to see four campmates enter the Sinister Circus in order to try and break a curse that has been put on them.

Given its religion-inspired title, it seems safe to expect locusts, frogs, water and more raining down on the unlucky quartet...

Fortunately, some saw the funny side of Parisi being consistently ruled out. One even joked: "Cliff reminds me of that guy in PE who would always have some illness so couldn't take part lol."

I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
