From Women's Health

  • The Women's Health team used Venmo to figure out who wins The Bachelor Season 24 and Peter Weber's final rose.

  • The Bachelor has tough decisions to make as he sends more ladies home this week.

  • Peter Weber has publicly claimed that his season finale will be unspoiled and other spoiler accounts haven't revealed who he chose.

The Bachelor season 24 is absolutely flying by. Peter Weber’s group of ladies competing to become his copilot is shrinking fast. He started with a full flight of 30 contestants, and after this week, there will be only four women left. With so many women flying home solo, you might be wondering who Peter picks in the end. (I know I am.)

Lucky for you, the Bachelor fans of Women's Health put on their detective caps, determined to find the elusive winner of season 24 and Pilot Pete's heart before the final episode. "People are really good at speculating," he told Access Hollywood. "I haven't heard the actual ending yet, from anyone." Sorry to burst your unspoiled season bubble, Peter, but I am pretty sure I cracked the code.

Here's how: I followed the money. If it can reveal political corruption in a classic movie, it can reveal a reality dating show winner, right?

So, where does the money go in 2020? Venmo. And, a quick search of the Bachelor contestants names reveals a lot. At least, I believe it reveals a lot. You can do your own social media sleuthing and see for yourself.

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT CONTINUE READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHO MAYBE POSSIBLY WINS PETER WEBER'S SEASON OF THE BACHELOR.

Type "Peter Weber" into Venmo's search, and sure enough, an account that looks pretty darn authentic pops up. The handle is @pilot_pete, a.k.a. the same as Peter's official Instagram. (The account pictures match, too.) He's the Bachelor now, so his account is private, and I can't see any transactions.

ICYDK, a private Venmo account means only the sender and recipient can view the transactions, keeping everything on the DL. Venmo users can set their account to public, friends, or private.

Next, I try a few of his frontrunners: Madison Prewett, Victoria Fuller, Kelsey Weier, and Hannah Ann Sluss. (According to Reality Steve, Hannah Ann and Madi are Peter's final two women, while Victoria and Kelsey at least made it to Hometowns.)

Here's where it gets interesting.

Madi, Victoria, and Kelsey's Venmo accounts are all public.

And all three accounts pop up with photos that look authentic. Madison's public account is filled with totally ordinary transactions like "chick-fil-a" and "☕☕" posted within the last week and visible to anyone who looks up her account.

The same is true for Victoria and Kelsey. (Worth noting: There is also a "Friends" setting in Venmo, so your friends can see your transactions, but neither upped their privacy settings to this level.)

And, speaking of friends Madi and Kelsey are friends on Venmo. Peter, however, does not appear on either woman's list of Venmo friends. Peter isn't on Hannah Ann's friend list, either. That doesn't mean they've never swapped funds on the app, though. You don't have to be "friends" to send and receive money on Venmo.

Hannah Ann, however, has a private Venmo account.

(Lightbulb moment, folks!)

Both Peter and Hannah Ann have private Venmo accounts (a.k.a. celeb couple style), and the other ladies are public (a.k.a. former reality stars reverted to normal IRL). So, one of these things is not like the others...

And, for what it's worth, a Twitter user @SpencerRamer tweeted on January 6, 2020, "I did some detective work last week and Pilot Pete is friends with Hannah Ann on venmo. So I’m calling it that she will be the winner."

That said, the Twitter user neglected to post screenshots of either Peter or Hannah Ann's Venmo accounts at the time of their tweet so this claim is unverified, since they're no longer friends on the app.

That may mean Hannah Ann has won Peter's heart and, consequently, his Bachelor season.

Is this totally solid, beyond-a-shadow-of-a-doubt evidence? No, but it's well known that whoever wins the Bachelor has to keep their relationship a secret for months between filming and the season finale. So, making popular (and stalkable) app accounts private is a surefire way to do that.

Oh, and btw, it was former Bachelor Colton Underwood's public Venmo account that reportedly led one eagle-eyed fan to find out he chose Cassie Randolph wayyyy before the finale (just sayin').

But a new conspiracy theory connects Peter and a Bachelor producer.

There’s a Reddit conspiracy post about what one fan thinks has happened that’s getting tons of attention RN, and it’s super juicy. In the post, Redditor Krallie argues that it’s highly likely Peter actually ends up with Bachelor producer Julie LaPlaca. They list out evidence to support the theory, and it's some pretty impressive sleuthing.

However, the Venmo theory could still hold up against the Reddit conspiracy theory. Julie's Venmo is public, with transactions to and from friends for all to see. There are former Bachelor stars and contestants on her Venmo friends list, but no Peter.

But, how do I know if Peter, Hannah Ann, and all the other Bachelor contestants' Venmo accounts are legit? Short answer: I don't. Long answer: It's really hard to fake a Venmo account.

Women’s Health reached out to Venmo, and a representative directed us to the identity verification process they use to help prevent the creation of fake accounts. According to Venmo's website, "The US Patriot Act requires Venmo to implement a Customer Identification Program (CIP). Each country or region has specific CIP requirements for the collection of customer data. Some examples of the information we collect and verify can include your name, physical address, date of birth, and National/Tax ID number (SSN/ITIN). To verify your identity, we use a National Database to obtain a positive match of legal name, address, date of birth, and SSN/ITIN." If Venmo can't verify your personal information, the app will then ask you to send documentation in the app that confirms your identity.

Eligible documentation includes: U.S. passport, driver license, U.S. government issued ID, SSN/ITIN assignment letter, DHS card, and Tribal ID card. All of which are pretty hard to fake. Also, Venmo does not currently allow two separate users to have the same bank account added to their accounts for security reasons.

That said, if you don't verify your identity in the app, you can still use Venmo to make payments funded by your bank account, credit card, or debit card, the website says. You can also receive payments from others to your Venmo account and transfer that money to a bank account. You’ll only have access to a Venmo balance once you verify your identity.

Golf bag-gate also connects Peter with Hannah Ann.

Besides my Venmo investigation, multiple fans of Reality Steve sent him Instagrams of Peter with a red, black, and white golf bag and Hannah Ann with a red, black, and white golf bag. The bags look similar enough to convince some members of Bachelor Nation that it's the same exact bag, and that Peter picked Hannah Ann.

However, Reality Steve quickly squashed this theory. "What this is is…nothing. Or something," he wrote in a recent blog post: "There’s nothing whatsoever in that picture that 100% definitely claims Peter is with Hannah Ann. This is nothing. I’m telling you, for every 'see they have the same golf bag, that means they’re together' email I get sent, I’ve got something else completely opposite for you that could point to Peter being with Madison. And they both can’t be right."

But, what about Hannah Brown and Pilot Pete?

Sorry, Alabama Hannah fans, but Reality Steve has concrete evidence that Bachelorette Hannah Brown and Pilot Pete aren't getting back together. In a recent blog post, Reality Steve confirmed that a grand reunion isn't happening on (or after) the final rose ceremony.

Yes, even despite the flash-forward showing Peter's mom crying about someone fans thought must be Hannah Brown:

"Hannah Brown has nothing to do with the ending of this season. I know people are still holding out hope, and I know you’ll have questions about, 'Well how can he just shut off those feelings,' or 'are you sure,' and 'well what about this or this…' etc. All I can tell you and officially confirm today is that after you see Hannah and Peter finish up their convo on next Monday’s episode, she has nothing to do with the rest of Peter’s season," he wrote.

So, if you want to see more of Hannah, you'll just have to rewatch her season as The Bachelorette or competing on Dancing With the Stars.

Couldn't Pilot Pete be flying solo RN?

That's a big no. Reality Steve has the low-down on Peter's current relationship status. The spoiler king has revealed Peter isn't single, and he's sure of that fact.

The Bachelor also appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Tuesday, and revealed he is “very happy” looking back at his season of The Bachelor. “I followed my heart until the very last second of this whole experience,” he said. “I’m in a good place.”

It's fine if you don't believe me or the Venmo receipts. You'll just have to wait, and watch, to see if Reality Steve gets new intel that backs my only slightly insane theory.
