IKEA Just Released A Candle That Smells Like Their Famous Meatballs
There are two types of IKEA-goers. Some people go to wander the bedroom or kitchen setups and get a new coffee table or vase. Then there are the people who make a beeline straight for the cafeteria, most of whom order the Swedish meatballs. I am definitely the latter.
You can always tell you are nearing that part of the store when that unmistakable scent of simmering spices meets your nostrils. Serotonin rushes straight to the brain, and you forget about the fight you just had with your partner over what kind of bed sheets to buy.
Now, you can get the same feeling at home with a new limited-edition HUVUDROLL meatball-scented candle. Imagine coming home from a long day at work, lighting this candle and filling your home with the delicious aroma of Swedish meatballs that you can’t eat.
The candle is part of IKEA's Store in a Box, a collection of unknown items the company will give away in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its loyalty program. The idea of the box is to recreate the sensory experience of visiting an IKEA. Other than the candle, the other included products have not been released, but we can only guess they represent the IKEA store experience too. Maybe a dizzying maze through mattresses and light fixtures, bright blue and yellow tarp bags that are just noisy enough and a push kart with a wheel that favors the left.
