From Good Housekeeping

In last night's live Olympics broadcast, French ice dancer Gabriella Papadakis was out on the ice performing her short routine with partner Guillaume Cizeron when the unthinkable happened: Her nipple slipped out of her costume.

"Oh no! She has a nipple! And it's showing" cried everyone. You'd think we'd have learned something from the Janet Jackson Super Bowl incident and that seeing a woman's nipple would not be reason for an international incident, but alas, not only was the incident shown live on international television, it was later replayed in slow motion on screens in the arena. Oy!

When asked how she felt after the performance, Gabriella said "not great" with a laugh.

Later, at a news conference, she shared more about the incident.

"It was my worst nightmare, happening at the Olympics," she said. "Yeah, I was pretty distracted.

"It happened in the first few seconds. I told myself I didn't have a choice and that I had to keep going. I think we should be proud we were able to deliver a strong performance with that happening.

"I felt it right away, and then I prayed. That is about all I could do."

Because Papadakis is a total professional, the malfunction did not cause her to slow down or even interrupt the routine. She and her partner kept on skating and ultimately finished second as are headed into Tuesday's long dance.

We bow down.
