Ice Baths! Compression Suits! Lady Gaga Reveals Her Regenerative Postshow Rituals

From thrashing on the piano to performing elaborate dance sequences, Lady Gaga knows how to wow the crowd at her concerts. But as you can imagine, the physical demands of doing so can take a serious toll on the body, which is why the pop star takes her postshow recovery very seriously.

After successfully launching her makeup brand, Haus Laboratories, last month, Gaga returned to Las Vegas for her Enigma show, revealing her no-holds-barred wellness regimen in the process. She first shared an Instagram Story of herself backstage midshow, sporting a sparkling silver dress and blue wig while using a Gyrotonics machine to promote agility and balance. Then, after the show, the singer posted a gallery of her postshow routine: “Ice bath for 5–10 [minutes], hot bath for 20,” she wrote in the caption alongside snaps of herself—pink hair, et cetera—going through the different phases of her full-body recovery. “Then compression suit packed with ice packs for 20.” She ended her regenerative session with a compression treatment, which offers a multitude of benefits, from boosting blood flow to helping fight inflammation. First dazzling the audience at her sold-out show, then sparing no effort to give her body the TLC it needs, it’s all in a day’s work for Gaga.
