How could we not see it coming? Beauty YouTuber Hyram Yarbro, known around some parts of the internet as Skin Care by Hyram, is officially launching his own skin care brand!
Called Selfless by Hyram, the upcoming brand was developed in partnership with The Inkey List, an ingredients-forward skin and hair care product line available at Sephora. So far, we don’t know a lot about the brand, but based on a ten-minute teaser video uploaded to Hyram’s YouTube channel, the brand’s mission will focus on four areas: environment, health, education, and empowerment. As noted in its website, Hyram’s company has created partnerships with Rainforest Trust and Thirst Project, which will both receive a portion of proceeds from Selfless by Hyram’s sales.
Hyram’s video content has always aimed to make understanding skin care accessible and transparent, and it looks like he has created his skin care line with that same ethos in mind. He opened the video by explaining that he started his channel to document his “personal skin care-learning journey and as a resource to share simplified skin care information to people who may not realize its significance. I wanted to share the message that skin care is for everyone.” He said that while the current beauty industry’s focus is on self-love and self-empowerment, he aims to push it a step further and use skin care “as an opportunity to empower others and leave a positive impact on the world.”
The Selfless by Hyram brand will launch with five products, partially informed by the community created by his viewers and their comments. The packaging is also 100% recyclable, and the website has a page dedicated to transparency regarding sustainability efforts. No word on exactly what the products will be yet, but they will be launching exclusively via Sephora, both online and in-stores, on June 24. The products will be available in 29 different countries worldwide and their price will be no more than $30. And, in true Hyram fashion, he will be revealing each of the products over the next few weeks on his YouTube channel!
