To me, there are few activities more relaxing than getting a facial.

For 60 minutes, there are zero distractions from my phone, and I can simply zen out as the facialist massages a series of skincare products into my skin.

However, facials are on the laundry list of fun things that have been canceled in 2020. Here in New York, as well as in some states like California, facials have been put on hold for the foreseeable future, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

And while I still long for that post-facial hydrated glow, I am too lazy to DIY a full-on 60 minute at-home treatment. That's why Elizabeth Arden's Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules are a game-changer.

The newest addition to Elizabeth Arden's OG Ceramide Capsules line, which were the first ampoules of their kind when they launched back in 1990, is spiked with hyaluronic acid for an extra smooth, plump finish. In addition, ceramides provide deep hydration and support skin barrier strength, which is essential for clear, radiant skin. Plus, each biodegradable capsule contains a single serving of serum, so that you never use too much product.

After my nightly double cleanse, I like to break open the pea-sized pod and gently massage it all over my face. Once it sets in, I follow up by massaging the contours of my face with a facial roller to relieve tension from stress and to stimulate blood flow to my face, which can make skin appear firmer.

Although, I'm more into the relaxation aspect of this ritual, to be completely honest.

After about 15 minutes of rolling — with my phone set to do not disturb — I feel cooler, calmer, and my skin is definitely more collected. And once I wrap up, I'm left with ridiculously soft, supple, and radiant looking skin thanks to these magic capsules.

Since my face has been particularly dehydrated from spending more time inside with the AC blasting, I usually finish off my mini treatment with a ceramide-infused moisturizer.

And make sure it's at least SPF 30

While reuniting with one of my favorite aestheticians might be yet another reason to look forward to 2021, this mini treatment is the next best option in the interim. Especially as we go into fall, aka dry skin season.

Good to Go used to be the column where we'd share the beauty products we can't travel without. But while travel's off the table, we'll be focusing on products that make us feel good in quarantine. This month, why Elizabeth Arden's Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules Hydra-Plumping Serum makes me feel like I just got a facial.
