We Are All Humbled By Shakira and Jennifer Lopez's Super Bowl Halftime Show
How blessed are we in this, the year of our J. Lo, to be gifted a Super Bowl halftime show featuring the talents of Shakira, J. Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, and Jennifer Lopez' daughter in one place?
There were giant dance sequences, surprise Led Zeppelin riffs, J. Balvin, Bad Bunny, and an impressive opening number in "She Wolf." That was only during the Shakira portion, by the way. Jennifer Lopez followed that by coming out and offering a bit of "Jenny From the Block" before reminding everyone why she was above getting an Oscar nomination this year anyway. She got on a pole, and did a mind-blowing Hustlers thing, and then gave the whole audience those "Laura Dern can't do this" eyes.
It was one of the best non-Beyonce halftime shows in recent years. And thankfully, it came with some GIF-able moments for us all to share for the next few days. Especially when Shakira looked dead into the camera and sounded her barbaric yawp over Miami's Hard Rock stadium. I can't wait for the #ShakiraScreamChallenge going viral in the next hour or so.

Though the best Super Bowl halftime shows are never long enough, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira's performance will linger for a while. This one was enough to make you forget that there's an entire second half of a Super Bowl we have to pretend to pay attention to. Or you can just turn your attention to start making some Shakira scream memes already.
