Ceannsaich: The Constitution lays out the duties and responsibilities of both the House and Senate for the Impeachment process. It is the duty of the House to Investigate and determine if the President has committed High Crimes or Misdemeanors, then to prepare the Articles of Impeachment that serves as the prosecutors package. They did this and voted to submit it to the Senate. The Senates role is to read and hear the Articles of Impeachment, as presented by the House Managers in their Articles of Impeachment. The Senate does not conduct a second Investigation of material and witness’s not included within the Houses Articles of Impeachment, they merely hear the arguments for and against the Articles and decide to Impeach or not to impeach. Since Pelosi, Schiff and the Congressional Managers have stated repeatedly, both verbally and in writing their opening statements that “The case against the President of the United States is simple, the facts are indisputable, and the evidence is overwhelming,” there is no need to call any additional witness's nor seek any other documents. They chose to bypass the Judiciary Branch rather than have the traditional procedure of the Courts ruling whose Constitutional Right; The House’s Subpoena or the Presidents Executive Privilege, had more legal basis in regards to additional witness's and documents. Let the case stand or fall upon the merits of their so called exhaustive and through Investigation.
