The posh politico Huma Abedin knows how to wear a good print. We last saw Abedin when she took New York Fashion Week by storm during her front row appearance at Prabal Gurung. Last night, she popped up in Los Angeles to attend both the premiere of Power Rangers and the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for the film’s creator, Haim Saban. Abedin opted to usher in spring by sporting a favorite look—a palm leaf–motif wrap dress.

Similar garden variety prints cropped up this season on the runways of Altuzarra, Max Mara, and Tory Burch. Abedin’s version seemed both in line with her own personal style and the current craze. The long-sleeved dress featured girlish touches including fluid cuffs, a self-tie belt, and a flounced hem acting as a polished alternative to the LBD. Coordinating drop earrings with a leaf design punctuated Abedin’s ensemble, while simple gray stilettos grounded the look.
