Huishan Zhang RTW Fall 2021

Quote of note: “The collection reinforces the brand’s codes whilst developing new categories such as knitwear, outerwear, daywear and jewelry. The sustainable check fabric and houndstooth twill, together with the contrast tailoring, give a real sense of rebellion and escapism that makes its way into the collection.”
Standout pieces: A black cheongsam dress with crystal buttons; gold sequin maxidress; ribbed wool sweaters patchworked with seashell stitching; cashmere knits with ostrich feather embroidery on the sleeves; pieces in watercolor leopard print.
The takeaway: As usual, Zhang offers a wardrobe that’s perfect for China’s wealthiest — who like to dress up like princesses but with an attitude.
