Let’s be honest here. Planning your honeymoon is most definitely the best part of wedding planning. But paying for it? Well, that is a whole different story.
That’s why we love the trend of wedding registries that allow you to customize a honeymoon experience and then ask your guests to pay for it. Because at the end of the day, who really needs another monogrammed towel or highball glass? Not you! You want to travel around the world with your new significant other — and you want to defray the costs.

There are plenty of sites out there these days that allow you to create a honeymoon registry, but Wanderable is one of our favorites — mainly due to its wonderfully curated options and fab user experience.

Wanderable’s co-founders, Jenny Chen and Marcela Miyazawa, first came up with the idea for the site when Miyazawa was researching honeymoon registries for her own wedding. She was frustrated with the market — the companies that she tested all had poor design and unintuitive user flows.
“We have always wanted to be an easy and inspiring alternative for couples who already have all the household things they need and want to register for amazing honeymoon experiences instead,“ Miyazawa said.
Wanderable allows customers to quickly create a free and beautiful online honeymoon registry, which they can personalize with their own fonts, colors, and photos. You can browse curated experiences, but couples can also add anything else they wish to their registry.

Once their registry is completed, the couple shares it with their wedding guests. Wedding guests can then make online purchases toward the couple’s registry. Couples receive automatic notifications from Wanderable for all gifts received. Depending on which type of gift it is, they will either receive cash which will be deposited directly into their bank account or the travel item will be booked directly through a vendor.

“We want to provide a beautiful, easy, and memorable gifting experience for all our consumers. With the landscape of marriage changing and couples getting married later in life, there needs to be an easy alternative for couples who do not care to register for traditional home appliances and items. Our services allow couples to "crowdsource” their honeymoon trips from their wedding guests,” Chen said.
“We’ve received many compliments from wedding guests who comment on how they wish that Wanderable existed when they were getting married!”
