How Much Does it Cost to Look Like a Kardashian?

The Kardashians are changing the world’s perception of plastic surgery. The most talked about family in the country has publicized and filmed procedures, and despite push and pull with the media and fans, they have a tendency to fess up to the treatments they’ve had. “Kylie decided to plump her lips and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that,” Khloé said after the then 17-year-old Kylie admitted to having lip fillers after months of insisting otherwise. "I think if you’ve done something though, it is right to cop up to it. If you avoid the question you’re gonna look like a liar.” We appreciate the honesty, but we’re not totally convinced that Khloé and her family are totally plastic surgery free, aside from the non-invasive procedures they’ve owned up to, as well as Kourtney and Kris’s admitted breast implants and Kris’s facelift.

In 2008, Kim Kardashian went on a rant on her blog about plastic surgery, admitting that she’s not against cosmetic procedures but insisting that at the time, she had never gotten any, aside from non-invasive cellulite treatment Velashape. She added that she would never get lip injections and that she planned to get a breast lift after having kids. She shut down rumors of butt implants and admitted that she’s always been insecure about her nose. “People also have assumed I have had a nose job, but I have not!” She wrote. “I look exactly the same as I did when I was a kid, except my nose has grown a little. I hate the bump on the side of my nose, but am way too afraid to mess with my face!” In 2011, Kim shut down the rumors of her butt implants once and for all, having her rear end x-rayed on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and revealing no implants. A lot has changed since Kim’s 2008 blog post, though. UK cosmetic surgery brand Transform told the Daily Mail that they have seen a 73% increase in Kardashian-related surgery requests since 2007. “The Kardashian family has done more for cosmetic surgery than anyone previously. They openly talk about treatments, are filmed whilst having procedures and are unashamedly obsessed with looking their best at all times,” says a Transform spokesperson. “Fans and viewers can see the results of the treatments and procedures they’ve all had for themselves – the Kardashians have lifted some of the taboos and stigmas associated with surgery and non-surgical treatments and shown the world, the great results these procedures can deliver.” Experts from the brand hashed out estimates of how much they believe it costs to keep up with the Kardashians.

The most expensive set of procedures are Caitlyn Jenner’s. Her gender transformation required a series of procedures in a brief span of time, and Transform laid these out. Caitlyn has caused a spike in the already increasing number of surgical inquiries from transgender patients, including breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and blepharoplasty surgery, which corrects eyelids. It seems as though Transform’s list of Caitlyn Jenner’s procedures does not include the ones that she had prior to her transition, which included a rhinoplasty, face-lift, corrective rhinoplasty, and Adam’s apple removal surgery, at least.

Next most expensive is Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. Transform has seen an increase in women 45+ have seeking taught faces like Kris’s, and the brand predicts that it is quite an investment to look as tight as the 60-year-old does.

Ultherapy, a non-invasive face lift that Kim spoke about on a recent episode of the reality show, has since jumped 33% at Transform. Despite her 2008 fear of changing her face, Transform believes that the 35 year old has had an array of surgeries she has denied at one time or another.

The eldest Kardashian sister has admitted to breast implants, but is among the most natural looking in her family with a fairly unchanging face. Still, Transform believes that her procedures cost more than three of her sisters.

Khloe Kardashian recently blogged about having never had any surgery or fillers, attributing her facial changes to contouring. She also claims, “I’ve always had an ass,” but Transform begs to differ, and included fillers and sculptors on her list of potential procedures. “Our 54% increase in enquiries for buttock enhancements, inspired by the likes of Kim and Khloé, has been a key reason for us looking at offering fat transfer surgery in the near future,” says Transform.

Kylie Jenner opened up about her lip fillers in 2014, and since, Transform has seen a 38% increase in lip treatment inquiries among 18-24 year olds. “No one could have predicted the effect Kylie would have on the worldwide lip filler market, undoubtedly she is the industry’s new poster girl for this treatment,” says transform. Here’s how much the brand predicts 18-year-old Kylie’s procedures cost.
