James: I paid off my student loans myself. I also worked 25-30 hours during my college years and took the bare minimum I could on the student loans. It still totaled to $25K. I lived on hamburger helper and didn't eat at a restaurant for over two years (along with many other luxuries I lived without). It was a sacrifice I chose to get the education I wanted. We're not forcing these people to rack up $100K in student loans. I had zero financial support from my parents. I worked and sometimes only took 9-12 hours a semester. It took me six years to complete my Bachelor's, but I got there. It's not easy but that's actually the part of the process that was the most helpful in being successful now. I use very little of what I learned in the classes at university. The life lessons and coming to fully understand personal responsibility are the most important.
