Disney+ has been everything Disney fans could have hoped for, as it is packed with all the Star Wars, MCU, and classic content that everyone loves. But while there is a seemingly endless list of movies and shows to stream, fans have noticed that a few titles have gone missing from the streaming service, including Home Alone, Doctor Dolittle, Strange Magic, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and The Sandlot.
Naturally, viewers were not happy to see these movies were missing and were confused by why the titles went missing. After all, the key difference between Disney+ and other streaming services is that Disney owns all of the properties, meaning that titles should not be in danger of leaving, right? Apparently not and many people took to Twitter to express their concern and frustration about why some of their favorite movies are no longer available to watch on Disney+.
How is Disney plus going to take Home Alone 1&2 off their own site?! There’s no rights to expire, it’s not like Netflix, they own the fucking movie. And they kept home alone 3 on there just to be outright shitbags

Some pointed out that while the first two Home Alones are gone, the Macaulay Caulkin-less threequel is still on Disney+.

One person did point out that even though all of those movies were gone, one movie appeared to be added: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Though, since that movie only has a 37 percent approval rating of Rotten Tomatoes, it’s hard to imagine fans will consider that a fair swap.

But seriously, what is the reason these titles have suddenly gone missing? According to TV Guide, it appears the mass exodus has to do with “existing licensing deals.” The good news? That means that these removals aren’t permanent and once those deals expire, all of the titles should return to Disney+.
