This Holiday Season Will Be the Tastiest Yet Thanks to Nestlé's New Baking Truffles

Plain chocolate chips are so last (baking) season. We're always looking for new ways to up our cookie game, especially when autumn and the holidays roll around. Luckily, we have no shortage of new baking chips to experiment with—last year we had Bailey's Irish Cream Chips and this year we've already got Nestlé's new espresso chips to add a taste of coffee to our cookies. But if espresso isn't a flavor that has you jumping out of bed in the morning, Nestlé is releasing three other options for the holiday baking season, and there's something for everyone.

It was only a matter of time until someone took pumpkin spice baking chips to the next level. This fall, you'll be able to add Pumpkin Spice Truffles to your fall desserts, and trust us when we say they're much more decadent than ordinary baking chips. Each truffle has pretty white and orange swirls encasing a pumpkin-spice flavored filling. You can find 9-oz. packages for about $2.66 at Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter, HyVee, Kroger, Meijer, Schnucks Markets, and Supervalu stores.

If you're on pumpkin spice overload already, Nestlé is releasing another decadent truffle flavor that screams fall baking: Sea Salt Caramel. These gooey morsels have a chocolate shell with a decadent salted caramel filling—if you thought regular chocolate chips were gooey, just wait until you bite into a cookie or brownie with these baked inside. These indulgent chips are exclusive to Kroger, and you'll be able to find them there for around $2.66.

Finally, while we enjoy the fall baking season for all the pumpkin goodies and caramel desserts it has to offer, we can't help but think about which Christmas cookies we're going to bake this year. Luckily, Nestlé is on the same page, and they've already released Peppermint Truffles so you can prep for the holiday season. Similar to the salted caramel truffles, a chocolate shell conceals a cool, refreshing peppermint filling. They'll be available through December for about $2.66 per bag at Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter, HyVee, Kroger, Meijer, Schnucks Markets, and Supervalu stores.

Though we've still got a few weeks of summer left, it's never too early to start stocking up on pumpkin spice treats and other fall goodies. We've already got plenty of ways to indulge in the trend thanks to Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte Creamer and Pillsbury's Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls. You can also get a head start on your holiday cookies (some will keep in the freezer for months!), and if you're really feeling the spirit, there's no harm in pulling your decorations out early, either.
