Historic Wisconsin Ski Area Announces Opening Of New Expansion Terrain

Trollhaugen, Wisconsin, has announced that it will open its new Summit Expansion this Friday, January 19th.

Troll has been hard at work over the past few summers, improving its piste for a steadfast audience of local skiers. These developments, starting in 2021, included the installation of a new four-person chairlift where the former Chair 1 was located, as well as additional snow guns.

This Friday, Troll will unveil another four-person chairlift in its Summit Area, which is set to debut alongside new run offerings dubbed the "Summit Expansion."

It's a big win for Troll, demonstrating that impactful terrain improvements aren't always about massive acreage counts and high-speed, eight-person chairlifts. Sometimes, incremental changes fit the bill, and then some.

Amid colder temperatures, Troll has gotten its signature feature—the terrain park—into mint condition. The park now offers a bevy of rails and other opportunities for freestyle antics serviced by an iconic rope tow.
