Bringing up bebe just got a little bit chicer. Hill House Home, a direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand for the home, has just launched a baby line that includes twelve highly giftable kits focused on the first 12 months of parenthood. The launch features goodies for both parents and baby—including bibs, swaddles, onesies, bathrobes, blankets, and knit cardigans.
“It’s definitely full circle for me,” Hill House Home founder Nell Diamond says. “I found out I was pregnant at 27 years old, and I knew nothing about babies. I had literally never held one. One of the big takeaways for me was I could either find things that were beautiful and my aesthetic but were dry clean only, or they were really simple. I wanted to combine the aesthetic with practicality; the best price with the highest quality we possibly can.” To that end, all of the pieces in the collection are made from organic, non-toxic materials, and prices range from $50 to $250. Monogramming is also available, and everything is machine washable or wipe-clean—which is music to any new parent’s ears.
Diamond worked with Leïla Dubus, an artist she found through Instagram, to create the collection’s three lovely, “we have a place in Provence”-feeling prints: a floral stripe, an alphabet, and a rainbow, using old Beatrix Potter illustrations as inspiration. “I wanted the onesies and gowns to look like something I’d love to put on my couch,” Diamond jokes. “There’s so much focus on dressing children after one year, but for me the most incredibly vulnerable time is before that—the every day moments. I wanted to bring beauty to the 2:00 a.m. feeding.” Amen to that.
