Hilary Duff is feeling a little bored (in the house) and putting on makeup just for kicks because "we can still have pretty makeup while we're [staying at home]." Hilz, we're totally with you on keeping up a beauty routine during these times.
The only difference is that she has 15 million Instagram followers to whom she can broadcast to share her full makeup routine. And that's exactly what she did. Our favorite part of the 21-minute IGTV video? The finishing touch to her look: a pretty silver face gem. It's the perfect slice of nostalgia and we think Lizzie McGuire would be super proud. Hilary says that adding face gems is a "thing I've been doing to have fun and make my day a little bit more sparkly."
While Hilary didn't mention the exact gems she's using in the video — besides the fact that they're from Amazon — here are two options we found on the site: a set of 15-color rhinestones and a set of festival-inspired jewels for a little extra pizzazz. Now, excuse us while we buy our own set of gems and start glamming up for our own Facetime photoshoots.

And here are all of the other beauty products Hilary uses to achieve her everyday glam:
Glycelene Stem C Mist: Hilary says, "I'm obsessed with these products; they're all vegan. Kim, the owner and creator, has become one of my friends."
Glycelene Beauty Serum: She lets this sink in after wetting her face.
Glycelene Rejuvenation Crème: This "pretty lightweight" moisturizer is chock-full of hyaluronic acid and firming peptides and lipids. "I love to put oils on my face, but if you prep with oils, your makeup and foundation doesn't stay on as well. So I tend to use those when I'm not wearing makeup, or at night."
Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Compact Foundation: Hilary is a fan of the texture, even though she says it takes a while to blend in with her Beautyblender. "I don't really want super high coverage, but I want enough to cover the dark spots and get even skin tone."
RMS Beauty "Un" Cover-Up: Hilary says that she's sometimes a fan of this and sometimes not, depending on how much sleep she's gotten — but we'll vouch for it because it just won a 2020 Readers' Choice Award.
Raazika Cosmetics Vegan Contour Kit: She applies the bronzer in a "W" shape across her cheekbones and nose and then blends it out with Beautyblender before using the highlighter shades on her T-zone and to set her undereye concealer.
MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Blush in Fairly Precious: A mineral blush in a coral shade that goes well with her self-proclaimed "murky lake" colored hair.
Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter in Peach: Hilary uses this as an eyeshadow for a "nice, little sheen," as a highlight underneath her brows, cupid's bow, and décolletage.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Liquid Gel Eyeliner: A bright blue liner with no dark undertones. She starts in the middle of her lid, paints outwards, and starts to flick out when she hits her crease, and then she fattens up the line and point.
Yves Saint Laurent The Shock Volumizing Mascara: "It like a nice, raggedy cat tail. It really gets your lashes nice and covered." She follows up with a clean spoolie on her bottom lashes.
Wunderbrow Wunder2 Long Lasting Eyebrow Gel: This is her favorite product. SHE SAYS? The brush is super precise and it's easy for filling in brows and elongating the ends.
Glossier Boy Brow: "This helps keep [my brows] upright" and gives them fluff/volume before the glue-like Wunderbrow sets and drys.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Moonstone: A gold shimmer she pops onto the inner eye corners and cupid's bow.
Nudestix Magnetic Plush Paint Lip, Cheek & Eye Color in Sweet Sangria: Hilary only applies one swipe, smudges the color with her lips and fingers, and makes it into a stain. Then she takes some color to her cheeks with her Beautyblender for continuity.
Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer: She brushes off the excess on her hand and then sweeps it quickly all over her face.
Colourpop Maui Wowie Lippie Tint: Adds a little pink to her existing stain.
We love a detailed makeup routine video and Hilary clearly knows what she's doing and what works for her face — she's totally serving the final look and we're here for it. We're scheduling some "makeup just for me" time right this second.
