Hilary Duff Is Dating Like 9 Guys on Tinder

Stop hanging around outside of film sets and award shows in the hopes of meeting your celebrity crush—your best bet might just be online dating.

Following last weekend’s rumors that modelizer Leonardo “Leonard” DiCaprio has an active Tinder profile, Hilary Duff has revealed that she’s recently become a convert to the hookup dating app.

The recently single mom, 27, was first outed Saturday when Reddit user tand33 posted a screengrab of what looked like Duff’s Tinder profile, under the headline “I found Lizzy McGuire” (sp, of course—it’s obviously spelt ‘Lizzie.’)

After the photo was thoroughly scrutinized by commenters—some doubters, others, firm believers—the Duffster admitted to a Los Angeles radio morning show, Tuesday, that she is, in fact, on Tinder.

“I was sitting with my friends one night at the house and we were joking around. In my life, I have always had really serious boyfriends,” said Duff. “I’ve always met people through work and I have never been on a blind date. What’s the worst that could happen?” (To answer that last question: A lot.)

When you’re the girl who starred opposite Frankie Muniz in Agent Cody Banks and sang the theme songs for Laguna Beach and My Super Sweet 16, dating in the modern age isn’t always easy. Left swipes run rampant among guys who think they’re being catfished into asking their middle school fantasy out on a date. “I think some people know [it’s really me],” Duff said. “Some people don’t know. I think some people act like they don’t know but they do. And a lot of people are like, ‘This is a joke, right?’“

And to top it off, the Tinder newbie actually has her very first date with a “normie” tonight! It’s a group situation, and they’re going BOWLING!! (It’s all too much, isn’t it?) If that one doesn’t work out, she’s got another date coming up that involves go-kart racing. And if that doesn’t work out, no biggie. The Younger actress is “talking to probably about nine guys right now.” Nothing like having a backup! Or eight.
