Hilaria Baldwin 'devastated' after suffering a second miscarriage: 'We are not OK right now'

Hilaria Baldwin has suffered another miscarriage.
The Living Clearly Method author, 35, and wife of Alec Baldwin, 61, shared the sad news on Instagram Monday. The mom of four said the miscarriage — at four months — was a shock, discovered during a routine appointment. Her eldest child, Carmen, was seen lovingly consoling her.
“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months,” the fitness expert wrote. “We also want you to know that even though we are not OK right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this.”
In the video, Hilaria gets hugs and kisses from daughter Carmen. She is the only girl among her three brothers and was especially excited that her mom was having a girl, which the couple announced last month during a gender reveal. The 6-year-old girl told her mom that she hopes her parents try again to give her her a sister. (Alec also has a 24-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his marriage to Kim Basinger.)
“I told Carmen and took this [video] so I could send it to Alec,” Hilaria wrote. “I guess this is a good way to share it with you too. I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all... but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time.”
She ended by writing, “I’m really devastated right now... I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say... I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear.”
Alec shared Hilaria’s post on Tuesday.
This was the second miscarriage Hilaria had this year. In April, she bravely shared with her social media followers as she went through one. She said on the Today show soon after that she was speaking out “because it's something so many people deal with, and as women we're trained to deal with it silently. I don't think we have to live with such fear.”
Alec and Hilaria tied the knot in 2012. In addition to Carmen, they have sons Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 1.
