HGTV fans, long gone are the days when you had to decide which home reno show you should tune into, because now all of your favorite female hosts are starring in one competition series that has it all. Premiering on October 21 at 9 p.m. EST, Rock the Block features Good Bones’ Mina Starsiak Hawk, Hidden Potential’s Jasmine Roth, Restored by the Fords’ Leanne Ford, and Windy City Rehab’s Alison Victoria, all ready to transform their identical Los Angeles houses into one-of-a-kind sights.
The HGTV host who adds the most value to her property will have a street named after and, of course, earn bragging rights. Before the clock starts ticking for the four-week competition, get to know the cast of the new show.
Good Bones' Mina Starsiak Hawk
More than three years ago, HGTV viewers were introduced to Good Bones and its fierce hosts, Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E. Laine. Longtime fans will know that the mother-daughter duo had renovated properties all over their hometown of Indianapolis for seven years before the network came knocking. Or, more accurately, sent a message of their Two Chicks and a Hammer Facebook page.
Now, Good Bones is up to its fifth season set to air next year, and while Laine didn’t take part in Rock the Block, Starsiak Hawk had no qualms about starring in the series solo. Of course, her husband, Steve Hawk, and their one-year-old son, Jack, weren’t far behind, cheering her on every step of the way.
Hidden Potential's Jasmine Roth
It’s hard to believe that Jasmine Roth only joined the HGTV family a year ago, but the 35-year-old has quickly made a name for herself, thanks to her signature California casual vibe. The Hidden Potential star got her start in the home renovation world when she and her husband, Brett Roth, decided to build their own house in Huntington Beach.
Through the process, she discovered it was a passion of hers and she went on to create her company, Built Custom Homes, with a focus on building new constructions with functional beach living aspects in mind. And in today’s world, it makes sense that she was spotted on Instagram by TV producers before landing her own show. In August 2019, Hidden Potential wrapped up its second season.
Restored by the Fords' Leanne Ford
Like most HGTV stars, Leanne Ford didn’t plan on having a career centered around home renovations and interior design, but she embraced the change of pace after she and her older brother, Steve Ford, restored a historic 1960s schoolhouse in their native Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and gained national attention. It would become Leanne’s first home and the start of the brother-sister duo transforming properties together.
While Steve took over the construction of homes, Leanne focused on interior design, and because of her experience as a fashion stylist and creative director, this role came easy to her. Viewers are anticipating Restored by the Fords getting renewed for a Season 3, but in the meantime, Leanne has kept busy, adjusting to motherhood alongside her husband, Erik Allen, and starring in A Very Brady Renovation with Starsiak and Roth!
Windy City Rehab's Alison Victoria
Alison Victoria may be the latest addition to HGTV’s lineup with Windy City Rehab premiering its first season in January 2019, but the Chicago native has plenty of experience with bringing homes to life.
Before HGTV, Victoria entered the interior design world after college and later on, she launched her consulting firm, Alison Victoria Interiors. Fans of the DIY Network will also recognize the 37-year-old from Kitchen Crashers—she was the first female host of the franchise.
