It’s official: Jesse Tyler Ferguson has surprised the first family to be featured on the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot, and the new host was not alone. The Modern Family star was joined by the new HGTV design team—Breegan Jane, Darren Keefe Reiher, and Carrie Locklyn—in Clovis, California. Together, the four will help build an incredible new home for a deserving family and then go to knock on more doors.
Before the home-reno revival premieres in early 2020, here's everything you need to know about the new Extreme Makeover: Home Edition design team.
Interior designer Carrie Locklyn is best known for being the lead designer on Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible, and she’s no stranger to the entertainment business. Originally from New Jersey, Carrie spent time in New York City and Los Angeles pursing dancing, acting, and modeling before discovering her passion for home renovations. After purchasing a home with her husband, Sky, the two fully remodeled it, and the finished work became her invitation to the Travel Channel family.
In 2014, Carrie founded her multi-faceted business GIDGLiving (Get It Done Girl), which tackles designing, home staging, and home organizing. “Helping people create spaces to meet their organizational and design goals, or sell their homes for top dollar by professionally staging, is what GIDG is all about,” she wrote.
Darren Keefe Reiher
Born in Northern Ireland, Darren comes from a long line of Irish craftsmen and followed in his family’s footsteps from a young age. Although he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, Darren continued working on his woodworking skills by training alongside a general contractor with a focus in kitchen and bathroom remodels.
In May 2017, Darren founded his design company, Drumcree Designs, and receives requests for one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted furniture for celebrities, interior designers, and local businesses. As an actor, he has appeared in dozens of television shows, such as Private Practice, NCIS, Sons of Anarchy, and others.
Based in Los Angeles, Breegan Jane is an experienced interior designer, lifestyle blogger, and mother of two. Breegan honed her design skills working as a creative director and marketing professional for a luxury-yacht manufacturer and has since shifted toward designing projects for celebrities, commercial ventures, and restaurants.
When the California native isn’t bike riding with her two young sons, she gives back to the community through the nonprofit organization World Vision, which provides resources to women and children in Africa.
