Designer Brian Patrick Flynn Shows Us Inside HGTV's 2021 Dream Home in Newport, Rhode Island

As you may already know, HGTV hosts three annual sweepstakes— Dream Home, Smart Home, and Urban Oasis. Each sweepstakes awards one lucky family with a brand new fully-furnished home that was built from the ground up. Pretty cool, right? As 2020 comes to a close, the network has already started to promote its next home giveaway: the 2021 Dream Home.

Just 10 miles from downtown Newport, Rhode Island, HGTV's 2021 Dream Home is located in Portsmouth. This year's grand prize package which includes the fully furnished home, $250,000 from Rocket Mortgage, and a 2021 motorhome from Camping World, is valued at a whopping $2.8 million. HGTV shared some photos of the home with us and it is absolutely stunning.

This waterfront three-story home overlooks Aquidneck Island and was built by JPS Construction and designed by Brian Patrick Flynn. Flynn has been at the helm of HGTV's Dream Home projects since 2016.

For this build, he opted for a modern nautical design rich in deep reds and blues that capitalize on New England's coastal charm. The home includes four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms.

An open floor plan and high ceilings contribute to the greatness of this sprawling 3,300 square-foot pad. Not to mention, the rooftop deck is equipped with a wet bar that is perfect for entertaining guests.

The 2021 Dream Home also coincides with the sweepstakes' 25th anniversary — which made this home even more special. "We knew we had to pick a location that would wow our viewers for the 25th anniversary, and Newport has every element a destination needs to provide that including natural beauty, aspirational lifestyle and decadent architecture," Flynn said in a statement.

He continued: "Every detail about the home, from the construction to the design elements, capture the spirit of Newport and the grandness of the HGTV Dream Home, making our 25th home the most impressive yet."

As aforementioned, the home is fully-furnished and equipped with state-of-the-art appliances. Sponsors include: Wayfair, Belgard, Cabinets To Go, Camping World, Cox Communications, Delta Faucet, Trex, Government Employees Insurance Company, The Sherwin-Williams Company, LL Flooring, SimpliSafe Home Security, Sleep Number, and VELUX No Leak Skylights.

The sweepstakes officially opens at 9 a.m. ET on Monday December 28th, 2020 and runs until 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Once the sweepstakes begins, fans will be able to test their luck twice a day until it closes.
