It’s official: NBC’s hit show Songland is back with season 2. Premiering on April 13, the songwriting competition series will feature celebrity guest stars like Luis Fonsi, Lady Antebellum, and Florida Georgia Line.

But what about the judges? While the show has boasted some of the judges' past achievements, there's so much more to know about each one. To get you up to speed on everything Ester Dean, Shane McAnally, and Ryan Tedder have accomplished, here's a brief lowdown on each Songland judge:

The Pitch Perfect star has earned the name "The Song Machine" for her ability to crank out hit after hit as a top-notch songwriter. Though she's responsible for countless songs, some of the biggest hits she's penned include Rihanna's "Rude Boy," Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass," Katy Perry's "Firework," Sean Paul's "How Deep Is Your Love," and Trey Songz's "About You."

But Ester isn't just about writing tunes for others. She also has earned a spot on the Billboard 100 for her own single "Drop It Low." Additionally, she has landed voiceover roles in Ice Age: Continental Drift and Rio. So, yeah, she's kind of a big deal.

Being on the top of the country charts is not a new thing for this Grammy-winning singer-songwriter. He first made it to the top when he wrote Kenny Chesney's "Somewhere With You," and later reached number one again with Luke Bryan's "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye," Jake Owen's "Alone With You," The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two," and Miranda Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart." He has also worked with Lady Antebellum, Sam Hunt, and more.

His stunning record has earned him a 2019 ACM Award for Songwriter of the Year for his Kacey Musgraves hit "Space Cowboy." Not surprisingly, he's now known as one of country music's most revered songwriters.

Along with co-producing Songland alongside Adam Levine, Ryan is the lead vocalist and songwriter for the band OneRepublic. Ryan is responsible for the huge smash hit "Apologize" as well as "All the Right Moves," and "Good Life."

Then, in 2013, OneRepublic, led by Ryan, went on to release the number one single "Counting Stars." On top of all of that, Ryan spearheaded writing the song "Start Again" (featuring Logic) from the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack.

But that's not all. Outside of his band, Ryan wrote Beyoncé's "Halo," Adele's "Rumour Has It," Ellie Goulding's "Burn," and Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love."
