Pete Davidson seems to have confirmed that he and Phoebe Dynevor are dating during a talk with students from a Wisconsin university over the weekend.

During a virtual talk with Marquette University students on Sunday Davidson was asked about his celebrity crush, and answered, "I'm with my celebrity crush," adding, "That's all I can speak on."

While Davidson didn't reveal the name of the crush, his confirmation that he is in a relationship has been seen by many as confirmation of the rumour that he and Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor are together.

The rumour began in February this year - just a few weeks after Dynevor clarified once and for all that she and costar Regé-Jean Page Daphne were most definitely not an item. A short while later we heard that Phoebe was said to be "spending time" with Pete in New York where she was filming Younger, according to Page Six. She also posted a series of pictures showing her spending time in Brooklyn, which added weight to the rumours for fans.

Then, a few weeks later Davidson was spotted in Altrincham, Greater Manchester by a fan who posted a picture of the SNL actor on the Altrincham HQ Facebook page with the caption, "Bizarre Altrincham spot of the day. Pete Davidson in the market quarter… he’s staying over in Altrincham with friends."

Fans quickly jumped on this as further evidence that Davidson and Dynevor are in a relationship, since Dynevor is currently staying with her mum, Coronation Street actor Sally Dynevor, who lives in Manchester.

The latest update, according to Us Weekly, is that not only are the pair now properly dating but they're also making things work long-distance, with her in the UK and him in the US.

"Pete and Phoebe are still going strong despite not being able to physically spend time together," a source said, adding, "They keep in touch over text and FaceTime. Right now, they’re just focused on work. … They’re not looking to rush things."

Davidson was previously engaged to Ariana Grande back in 2018 after just a few weeks of dating, although the pair split in September.

Dynevor dated Skins star Sean Teale back in 2017, but her personal life has been fairly private since her breakout role in Bridgerton earlier this year.
