Here's where you recognise the cast of Netflix's Love At First Sight from
We are suckers for a good rom-com, the cheesier the better in our opinion, and so we are very excited for the release of Netflix's newest movie Love At First Sight which drops today, 15th September.
Based on the novel The Statistical Odds of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith, Love At First Sight tells the story of Hadley (Haley Lu Richardson), an American who is travelling from New York to London to see her father get remarried. On her flight over to the UK she meets Oliver (Ben Hardy) and the pair spend their journey on one very long first date. Upon landing in London Oliver gives Hadley his number but she loses it going through customs. Will the pair ever find their way back to each other?
The film is out in less than two weeks and from the looks of the trailer it appears we're in for a classic Friday night movie full of famous faces. So who is in the cast of Love At First Sight and where do you recognise them from? Here's what you need to know.
Haley Lu Richardson - Hadley Sullivan
Hadley Sullivan is one the film's two leads and travels to London for her father's wedding when she falls in love with Oliver on her plane journey. She is played by Haley Lu Richardson, who you're most likely to know from her iconic role of Tanya's assistant Portia, in season two of The White Lotus.
28-year-old Haley is also known for her roles in Five Feet Apart, Unpregnant and Columbus.
Ben Hardy - Oliver Jones
Oliver Jones is the other lead role in Love At First Sight and he falls in love with Hadley on their plane journey back to London, where he is taking part in a play. Oliver is played by 32-year-old Ben Hardy who you might best know for his role as Peter Beale in Eastenders, which he appeared in from 2013 to 2015.
Ben is also known for his roles in X-Men: Apocalypse, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Voyeurs and The Girl Before.
Jameela Jamil - Narrator
Starring as Love At First Sight's narrator is Jameela Jamil. Jameela began her career presenting various TV and radio shows including T4 from 2009 to 2012 and The Official Chart Show from 2013 to 2015.
In 2016 she relocated to Los Angeles where she went onto star in Netflix's The Good Place as Tahani Al-Jamil. She's also known for her roles in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Super Pets.
Sally Phillips - Tessa Jones
Sally Phillips will be taking on the role of Oliver's mum Tessa Jones. You'll perhaps best know Sally for her role in the Bridget Jones films as Bridget's friend Shazzer.
She's also known for her role of Tilly in the BBC series Miranda from 2009 to 2015, and over the years she's appeared in numerous other series including Midsomer Murders, Death in Paradise, Veep and Hapless.
Rob Delaney - Andrew Sullivan
Playing Hadley's father Andrew, who is getting remarried in London, is Rob Delaney who is perhaps best known for his role in the series Catastrophe alongside Sharon Horgan.
The comedian is also known for his roles in Black Mirror, Bombshell, Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, Deadpool 2, and The Man Who Fell to Earth.
Dexter Fletcher - Val
Taking on the role of Val is Dexter Fletcher, who you will probably best recognise for his voice, as he does the voiceover for the McDonald's adverts.
Aside from McDonald's, Dexter is also well known for his work behind camera, which includes directing Rocketman, and Eddie The Eagle. He's also frequently on screen with notable roles in Band of Brothers, Hotel Babylon, and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
