Matt James has finally arrived at Bachelor Mansion a resort in Pennsylvania, and ABC is truly doing the most in terms of making this ~the most dramatic season ever~. Starting with surprising Matt with one of his actual exes on the show, naturally.

This season’s group of contestants honestly seems great, but it wouldn’t be The Bachelor without some deranged twists—and it looks like someone in the casting department managed to unearth Matt’s ex-girlfriend and convince her to come on the show. Normal stuff! So, who is she? Meet Madison Nelson, who dated Matt for a few magical months* in summer 2019. She and Matt Double-Dated With Tyler and Gigi

And by “Tyler and Gigi,” I mean Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid, who got their smooch on during the summer of 2019. Reality Steve even brought out the receipts, aka this photo of Matt and Madison at a fashion show together:

They Were Kinda Serious

In a blog post confirming that Matt and Madison didn’t date for more than a few months, Reality Steve did admit to having seen text convos that made it clear they were “somewhat serious.” Iiiiiiiinteresting.

She‘s from Indiana!

Not much is known about Madison, but we did get our hands on a few facts: She’s 27, a communications expert, and from Granger, Indiana. What’s unclear is how she and Matt met, but we’ll probably get an update on The Bachelor.

She’s *Allegedly* Joining the Cast Late

According to Reality Steve, Madison will be crashing Matt’s season along with four other contestants (including Hannah Brown’s friend Heather Martin). TBD how Matt reacts to seeing his ex midway through the show after he’s already formed connections with other women, but I’m guessing it’ll be, uhhhh, pretty awkward.

Her Insta Is Private

It’s possible that Madison is simply someone who likes to stay private even in non-Bachelor times, but her locked-up social is likely an indicator that she’s trying to keep a low profile until Matt’s season airs.
