Congratulations are in order because Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn just welcomed their second baby girl!
Ed, 31, popped on Instagram to share the good news with fans.
“Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x” Ed wrote. And can I just say, awwwwww!
Ed and Cherry have been together for a while now, and with the birth of baby girl number two, here’s everything you need to know about Cherry.
Ed and Cherry met in school.
Cherry, 30, met Ed when they were just 11 years old and the pair went to Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk, according to Brides.com. Though Ed said he had a crush on Cherry at the time, she had a boyfriend so things didn’t work out.
Cherry played field hockey in high school and beyond, even playing Division I field hockey at Duke University when she was pursuing her master’s degree.
How did they get together?
As mentioned, Cherry and Ed go way back, but they didn’t reconnect until 2015 when Ed was on tour and Cherry was working in Manhattan. Their first official date came iconically at the Taylor Swift Fourth of July party in Rhode Island in 2015.
"I was texting [Seaborn], and she was like, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,’ and I was like, ‘So am I,’" Ed told People, "I kinda said to Taylor, ‘Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ The rest is history."
Fans MAY recall key lyrics in Ed and Taylor’s song End Game: “Knew it when I was young / We connected when we were a little bit older” and “Something was born on the Fourth of July" (!!!!)

Cherry has a master's degree in management from Duke University.
After graduating from Durham in 2013, she took her studies across the pond to pursue a master's in management studies at Duke University, per Brides. Worth noting: She played Division I field hockey there.
"Ever since I was in high school I’ve always wanted to...study in the United States," Seaborn told Duke's The Chronicle in 2013. "I looked into different schools that were good academically and also at hockey, and Duke was one that really jumped out at me."
She worked at an accounting firm.
After graduating from Duke, Cherry worked on Wall Street for a few years, for the accounting firm Deloitte. In 2016 she moved back home to the UK to be closer to Ed, ending their LDR. (Woo!) Though, she did inspire the song Photograph so thank you for your trouble, guys!
How long have they been married?
This couple likes to keep things private which I love for them. They got engaged and kept it quiet for a month in 2017 before Ed announced it on IG.
“Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx," on Instagram. I too was chuffed.
They hosted a secret wedding in December 2018 with only 40 guests, and limited media, according to Brides.com. But after that, had a larger Suffolk wedding that was star-studded!
How many kids do they have together?
Ed and Cherry welcomed their first baby girl at the end of August 2020. Her name is Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
“Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter," Ed wrote on Instagram at the time. "We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here."
With baby girl number 2, now they are a family of four!
